The Bub House is a compact 122 sqm family home designed for a city subdivision, making the most of views along the surrounding green valley. Large, high-performance windows bring the landscape and natural light into the living spaces, while warm timber floors add comfort to the clean, architectural interior.

The efficient layout provides three bedrooms and generous shared living spaces within a compact footprint. A simple angled roof creates raked ceilings over the living areas, while a conventional roof form accommodates the bedrooms and bathrooms. Ventilation ducts are integrated into the lower hallway ceiling, allowing the bedrooms to retain their full ceiling height.

Durable corrugated iron cladding is paired with timber around the deck, creating a warm transition between inside and out. A wing wall defines a sheltered outdoor space while maintaining the connection to the surrounding landscape.

The house is designed to target Passive House certification, combining a compact form, high-performance windows and an efficient building envelope to create a comfortable and energy-efficient home.
